I think I get what you're saying. Idk I've just always considered it masking. Gotta keep that smile on your face. Sometimes its too much and I just need to vent. Maybe you've experienced negative reactions to dwelling on the bad shit too often? I don't think its fair to make your partner your emotional sponge, but also they should be there for you when it is too much and you do need to vent. Maybe you can give provide some more detailed examples if I'm not understanding.

Pretty much just like that. You're going to have to set your boundaries. Which means coming up with your boundaries in the first place. If people are crossing them its ok for you to say you're not up for that. Or make it clear that its way too early for that kinda shit. IDK its a murky line. Flirting in general can be filled with sexual innuendo or puns, but not be overtly sexual. Its the toeing of those lines that makes it fun. But theres gotta be a line somewhere. If someones constantly pushing those boundaries then its time to move on.

Thought on this some more. Theres definitely a point where a person can come off as too clingy or needy. As a man it feels like there would be different rules as a woman, but maybe not. I try not to be the first person to always text. Or if I am then I'll give it a day or two before double texting. If people want to talk to you then they're going to jump at the opportunity. As far as being rude - well I would let someone know before I was going to be unavailable for more than a couple hours. Beyond that it probably varies person to person.

Honestly I would not be putting that kinda weight on someone I had just met and was interested in. That kinda info can scare people off, and it could cause emotional turmoil to find out that you are not interested in recovery.
