Rackee sackee take your mind back into the 2000s and 2010s and name some not forgetful music memes Name a more talented female artist from this decade why is their taste so trash?
I always liked all sorts of rock, ambient, jazz, etc. very open minded. Eventually a retard I met was shilling Mayhem and Shining every single moment he spoke. He was a neo-nazi but also apparently bisexual?
So, due to a lack of other friends, i said fuck it and checked out black metal. Alot of it wasnt bad desu. but the whole culture sets off basically every red flag for glowie propaganda imaginable. i always felt something was wierd about it but fuck.
>Commit mindless acts of violence to make alternative culture look as dangerous and problematic as possible to outsiders (give the PTB valid reason to retaliate and shit your shit down)
>Be run by your emotions by listening to our music
>be an outcast from society but have nowhere to go thats moderate, plays into the game of political extremes
>apparently hate christendom but base entire culture around satanism, which is just a subgenre of christendom, instead of around some beleif system separate from christendom
>the world is fucked SO JUST KYS BROH LMAO
>etc.
I actually feel like a subhuman for ever even checking it out past a few songs. at least I can take pride in saying burzum was the only one I ever truly liked, and wasnt just tolerating.
I wouldnt be surprised if euronymous (who was responsible for popularizing black metal) was in with the glowies and church all along in an effort to destroy and keep tabs on the counterculture that rose up around black metal. what are some good ambient music that helps you sleep ?
I am currently using Skyrim OST to help me go to sleep ( I am suffering from mild insomnia)
looking for some recommendations this is a billie board now.
kneel. bands and albums that helped you in your worst moments? In my bedroom I play animal crossing music at all times. I have it synced up by the hour so that it plays a song from one of the 5 games at the appropriate time. it is also synced to play rain/snow variants depending on local weather. It's not loud. It's a soft whisper in the background I often forget about. But whenever I remember it is there, it keeps me grounded. It keeps me feeling like everything is ok. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uw7vDhaddsM what's the appeal of this music? Amy Lee wrote Good Enough for her husband and they've been together for 17 years. What I noticed about the song was that there were no insecurities about him -- only about herself and how she doesn't feel she deserves his love. But she doesn't have a bad thing to say about him.

- no song mode
- no resampling
- 64 mb, non-expandable
- quality control issues galore
- hums when you use a power supply instead of batteries
- doesn't show up as a drive when plugged into a computer. only way to load samples onto it without recording them is through a mandatory sample manager that is basically just a slow and buggy website that could go offline at any moment without notice
- if you're going to record samples into the machine, you have to use both hands to press and hold two buttons for the duration of the recording
- samples can be a maximum of 20 seconds
- only 4 effects, they're all kind of shitty and only 1 can be applied to each track + the master bus
- up to four tracks but no way to export them separately without just recording them individually one by one despite having a USB port
- no way to export MIDI or CC data
- indecipherable UI because weird display. sample editing especially suffers due to this.

It's always either a bunch of unrelated shit stitched together, or a song with a overly long improvisational section.
Why do basically no prog songs employ a classical form like a Rondo, or even Sonata form? Does anyone else feel like this girl's personality is totally fake?
I can't quite explain it. She tries to act like a serious, mature musician but her music speaks for itself. It's childish girly shit for teenage girls.

HELP hi this is Joe Biden, the soon to be relieved President. Now that I've got all the free time to browse /mu/, ive become a tripfag and would like to be acquainted with the latest experimental Avant garde music of the world https://mixmag.net/read/experimental-music-producer-sd-laika-has-died-news/
bros.. can someone explain the appeal of rap? all i hear is bothersome noise. it's shit. it's simplistic, it's boring, it does nothing. it's not good music. black voices are not pleasant to listen to.
it's also the most popular music right now, especially among whites, which is astonishing to me. every time i see some ghetto loser blasting this crap, i want to end myself. what the fuck is going on? there's a world of good music out there and it seems like everyone listens to this trash.
i mean look at this individual. look at him. it's obvious he's contributed precisely zero art to the history of humanity, and yet he's probably incredibly rich. he's a dumb as a fucking brick and has legions of fans. he's a vulgar, crass fuck, and i know if you polled Americans more of them would be able to identify this guy than could identify, say, Dvorak, or John Cage.
I don’t know if I can do this anymore; pouring myself into these works I’ve created in a futile attempt to connect with people and have them resonate with my art the same way I have with the works I obsessed over. I’ve tried for five years, and have been met with nothing but humiliation. I’ve taken every shit I’ve had at getting myself out there, and the one opportunity I had to play what would have been one of the most important live sets of my life was stripped from me because the person organising was accused of being a rapist. I tried contacting the affiliated band and sharing my sympathy: no fucking response. Is it really true that the only people who would ever extend a hand out to me in a form of art so reliant on human connection are only ever the ones who take advantage of everyone they get the chance with? Who knows what would have happened had I been more naive, I could have been assaulted myself, but here I am, with nothing to show for it. For so long I’ve disparaged myself and my art to make sharing it a more palatable approach given how heady and dense it is, but I always thought deep down that it was worthy. I’ve lost that desire, that burning conviction I had as a kid, and now truly just fucking despise my creations. I’m considering giving up the avant garde, all of the unique and idiosyncratic aspects that make my work so difficult to connect to, given that it might as well be made for a handful of people. I may try to pivot and construct music that anyone can engage with and say “this is pleasing, I get why you would like this”, a compromise a younger me would have fought tooth and fucking nail not to make. The thing about that? I don’t even know if I good enough to do that. No amount of studying polyrhythms, math rock techniques, electroacoustic techniques, self producing records entirely on my own, none of it is fucking worth it. What the fuck do I do? Porter Robinson - SMILE! :D

I've listened to Nine Inch Nails and Trent Reznor for over a decade now and I hate what I've become. I hate myself, and I hate everything and everyone around me. Can I just listen to some upbeat Coldplay or Christian-laced soft rock like Collective Soul and undo the psychological damage done by this kind of music? I've tried Karen O and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and even Silversun Pickups in the evening to settle myself down, but nothing works. I listened to a song by Dave Grohl last night and it felt like battery acid pouring down my ears. that is a sad commentary on 21st century pop. everything the rock generation fought for like writing your own songs, being in charge of your own music, albums instead of singles and so forth and it's all been thrown away for a worse and less tasteful rebirth of pre-rock pop where the singer is just a meat puppet who sings a 40 year old Jew's songs in as bland and slow a manner as possible and everything is artifice. Name even ONE song from that past 15 years that had a comparable impact. >came home too drunk from mixin’ Tanqueray and wine
