for fucks sake man. This is why rap is dead. A beautiful concept album, with very mature tones and themes and all people are talking about is "wHeRe aRe The bANgeRs". What an absolutely horrid take from some of these music "critics". Not everything needs to be Friday night hype shit. The low somber beats in kendricks album let you really emerse yourself into his lyrics. They are hypnotic and repetitive to almost put you in a trance where you forget about yourself and enter his world. Thats the fucking point of soft beats. Ffs I am Japanese and I love these songs!

I don’t see how there is any musical differentiation. >Can be found for dirt-cheap, even brand new
>Small and easier to store than records (you can flood your entire shelves with hundreds of them)

This grid is more of an idea of what I'm into and looking for rather than my top favorite albums of all time.

90s:
>”hell” and “god” automatically censored even on CDS
>almost no cursing at all
2000s:
>some risque themes start popping up
>”crap” and other lesser swears allowed on radio
>rap’s gangsta phase begins, curses are normal but the n word isnt in the most popular songs
2010s:
>plenty of cursing allowed
>rap begins throwing the n word around often
>radios ease censorship and allow “god” to be said along with “damn” “shit” and other normally assumed swears.
>still is mostly lyrical content
2020s:
>more than half (on average) of rap music is now profanity
>rap music averages the n word every 4 words
>pop rap music (from tiktok) is nearly as explicit
so can we safely assume music in the future will be ONLY cursing and nigga? I imagine the average 2030s song chorus will be “fuck nigga shit cunt cunt fucking NIGGA shit bitch sucka FUCK FUCK”.
i dont see how this trend isnt true. maybe gene Simmons is right, rap will die soon if it just keeps going this way. its a logical dead end. its like needing more and more of a shock to feel something…eventually its too much and dies. bunch of goofies in here fr Post cute asian (nip preferably) musicians

Why are all female rappers like this? What’s an album that you can stick on when you’re in a funk, feeling dull etc. and without fail, feel at least a little better? No complex “bittersweet catharsis”, just good vibes. For me it’s pic related. This stuff is fucking sad and bleak, fuck, it make me cry. If not give me alternatives.
Ill wait What if in madagascar 4 kendrick lamar plays a black lemur called kendrick lemur, haha, that would be funny.
He could even do a rap. So I have planned to quit my job. I have a board meeting with the major player arranged for Thursday. I am going to sneak in my portable cassette player with dual 3 watt speakers and blast a song at the end of the meeting after I flip over my chair and the table. It's a big table so I may need a few attempts to fully tip it over.
What song should I play as I destroy the board room. Name a better singing voice. Not a shill, genuinely want to discover beautiful vocals. Does anyone masturbate to music? Not porn music videos, but just listening to music.
A few years ago I started jerking to kpop music videos and I guess it conditioned me so just their voices, even even the beats, turned me on. These days I just put on headphones with female vocals, strong beats, and some nice rhythm and that’s all I need to get hard.
I can’t be the only one, right? armpits of purity edition
we discuss music here btw haha Hit me with them essential 2000-2005 albums. The Estonian Masters are back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfG4G1mEtgU remember what they took from you Did /mu/ stop the vaporwave shit after finding out that Vektroid, AKA the Macintosh Plus guy was a tranny? I would understand, it irked me too. But the actual godfather of vaporwave, Daniel Lopatin (Eccojams) is actually pretty cool. He did the soundtrack for Uncut gems and Good Time. Deaths Dynamic Shroud is also going strong, delving into hyperpop every now and then. There is much to listen to but all you care about is gangbanging niggers >he only gave it a 6
Kendrickbros, it's over . . . Say what you like about him - this was a solid review and a fair score. Is Be My Baby the most timeless song ever made? Is it true that Birdman the rap mogul raped dudes?
>“He had a heart-to-heart with Dave and, yeah, he told me that he ‘couldn’t fucking do it anymore’ — those were his words,” says Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron
>Grohl woke up to the news that the continent was reopening on Feb. 21. “At 5 o’clock in the morning, I text my manager and I go, ‘We need to go there next week to be the first band to go down,'” Grohl told talk-show host James Corden
>“That was one of the straws that broke the camel’s back,” Smith says. “After that, he had a real important heart-to-heart with Dave and the management. He said, ‘I can’t continue on this schedule, and so we’ve got to figure out something.'”
>the Foos got back on the road faster than any other major rock act. They became the first group to play Madison Square Garden post-lockdown, on June 20, 2021, and then they headlined several of that year’s festivals, including Lollapalooza. Foos gigs were booked as far away as Fairbanks, Alaska, and Monterrey, Mexico
>Foo Fighters and their management did not want to be interviewed. But through a representative, they dispute Hawkins’ friends’ characterizations of how he was feeling.

And to me Relapse (and Recovery) was Eminem at his strongest since TES. He had no competition and he knew it, he exuded and infectious confidence during this era that he can't replicate today. You ever wonder if track titles are just inside jokes between band members? I love this album like you wouldn't believe. What makes it so based? https://youtu.be/Ow8xvfMT3qI Why are they so horribly pretentious "I fell in love with you last summer...
...summer...
...summer...
...summer..."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zif1dkV05U So, /mu/? What are your thoughts on this album? What happened to raw indie music like post hardcore, grindcore, noise rock...?
Why only the soft side of indie like indie pop, arcade fire, fleet foxes, interpol, anco... was heavily promoted from indie sites, critics and the like through the 00's until its implosion around 2012 (see the indie "goldrush" from mid 00's to early 10's)? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaTGrV58wec
This song is under appreciated on /mu/ STRIKE AT ZERO HOUR WITH OVERWHELMING FIREPOWER THEYRE FUELED BY THE FEAR IN THEIR ENEMIES EYES any tip or helpful material to produce field recordings? i've just listened to them and now i wanna make it whats better lyrics or songs This album feels so old world, was it intentional? The songs themselves aren't anything interesting but the general feel I get from them is this sense of nostalgia I can't quite explain. how many of you /mu/tards know this real good idm shit I used to think i love jazz, i liked the sound and all the atmospheres that different styles of jazz create, but after a while the magic of the genre wore off and only my absolute favorite artists survived inside my playlists, because i like their sound, which just happened to be jazz in this case. And i could say the same for any other genre that i cared about at one point.
For me the novelty of a genre is guaranteed to wear off after a while and when that happens i no longer like that genre as a whole, but i never get tired of my favorite artists who are often the favorite artists of anyone who is into whatever their style is, so nothing niche or obscurer-than-thou here.
Yet on the internet people never stop talking about genres, and go pretty deep into subgenres and whatnot, but artist threads are almost always uber mainstream stuff (beatles, kanye etc..), i don't get it. music genres that people need to stop pretending to like I am Japanese and I love these songs!

>Politically correct is how you keep an opinion
Niggas is tight-lipped, fuck who dare to be different
>Seen a Christian say the vaccine mark of the beast
>Then he caught COVID and prayed to Pfizer for relief

>Will I stay organic or hurt in this bed for two weeks? (You really wanna know?)
Is he saying that Kyrie is being politically correct for being anti vax? But isn't the mainstream media pro-vax and Kendrick was shitting on them in the album. And in N95 he says some conspiranoic shit too "You're back outside, but they still lied". Kendrick isn't an anti-vaxer, right? That would be very disappointing and would sour the album for me. Will I be considered a chud if I listen to Irish rebel songs? I'm not Irish by the way In 1979, Paul McCartney organized the Concert for Kampuchea to raise money for the victims of war-torn Cambodia.
In addition to having the Clash, Queen, Elvis Costello and the Pretenders perform over two nights, Paul decided to put his all-star Rockestra band on the bill as well.
Jeff Beck accepted Paul’s invitation to participate, but demanded to have veto power over his own guitar contributions. Paul uninvited him.
The Rockestra band performed in silver suits, except Pete Townshend, who showed up for the second night clearly drunk and delivered “often out-of-tune guitar work”. At times, Townshend didn’t play at all, preferring to fill the spaces in the music with “embarrassing dancing.”
“Aren’t you glad you were born in London and not in poxy Kampuchea?” Townshend asks the audience at one point.
Paul snapped.
“Thank you, Peter,” Paul said to the audience.
“One lousy sod who wouldn’t wear the suit because he’s a poof.”
