Pretty much the only hostel stories I find true are

>people who think they can cook, really can't and shit up the place 99% of the time
>that one russian guy who does nothing but sits in a corner on his PC
>isrealis ALWAYS a shit

Most people come to hostels because the location is good for the price and their ideal time is spent shit/shower/shaving with a easier to find social aspect. Use hostelworld reviews to determine a place, generally can get verified reviews and tell if it's a party hostel or not pretty quick.
