These are the mouse/keyboard combos I have, because I found out how to make steelseries engine 3.17.2 nearly fully offline with nearly fully custom and retainable presets even when the software is not running, and since their backup service is shit, I figured out how to backup the software settings so you don't have to be cucked by their always-online bulllshit. Still have to install without an internet connection and block 3 applications from accessing the web, I block them on both simplewall and windows native firewall so that for whatever reason simplewall fails, there's a fallback that catches those connections, preventing any and all updates.

Block these 3 applications in C:\Program Files\SteelSeries\SteelSeries Engine 3

>SteelSeriesEngine3Client.exe
>SteelSeriesUpdateService.exe

Backup this folder

>C:\ProgramData\SteelSeries\SteelSeries Engine 3

Get a keyboard and mouse that has full onboard memory so you can play without the software constantly running, you just need to run it, make changes, and exit it from your tray and play

I've had that mouse since 2020, and still works great, I bought 2 more to future proof my gaming sessions. Recently bought the keyboard, and it's fucking perfect for what I need. Expensive, but worth it. Also have picrel, I made it because I play minecraft like a chad now, and I nuked my microshart account with the migrator cape to "trim the fat" so to speak.
