which is probably why from What's New onward you more and more saw the monsters in a given episode end up being a lot more sophisticated in the technology used for them(indeed a lot of them ending up being either robots or essentially bargain bin power armor) and more blatantly dangerous in nature, as a way for the franchise to respond to the "why don't they just dogpile and beat the shit out of the villains if they're just guys in masks 99% of the time" question without having to directly acknowledge it
