I'd agree with that, in that the game isn't awful
it launched before WoW but EQ1 boomers wouldn't touch it and then when casualcraft came out, it ate its lunch
crafting system I remember being cool, and players housing was pretty nice
the problems I had were basically that outside of that it was just OK, and that there were no other players or no reason to play with other people
couple that with the actual gameplay being meh/10 and there was basically no reason to play it over anything else now or then
which sucks ass because being a pixie brawler is a winning concept and the only two games I know of where you can do that (this one and project gorgon) play like complete poopoo
