Then start off slow. Most people are only doing about 12 miles a day when they start, if that. Since you do t have a real goal or a real destination, you could go even slower.

Then chose an easier trail. A lot of the CDT is road walking. The Florida Trail is Florida. You toughen your feet and strengthen your legs as you hike.

You just need gear and food. It’s literally one of the cheapest ways to live. The budgets you see online include taking care of real world bills (debts, car payments, storage units) as well as comforts like hotel stays and restaurants during their hike. You obviously don’t need this because you plan on being a bum.
