these two questions are interesting because it has been something I've been thinking about, our recession is here- we're about 5 years out from "the worst parts" same with 2008- some say its worse- I believe it won't be worse just the same. but I'm struggling on keeping the life style as it currently is- or settling somewhere working for more then $20/hr so I can actually fucking have money to save- because I would like to buy a small house on some land- but not be in bumfuck nowhere with no jobs... so I can't really afford the "cheapest" shit in alabama..

I started out actually working retail- kek I was working for a petstore right before I GTFO. Always been good at wrenching always fixed my own shit at least. internet was helpful back in 2015- now you barely can find the shit you're looking for when you google EXACTLY what it is. god-forbid its vague- google also doesn't link to forums much anymore on general searches. so basically I faked it until I made it- would work in mechanics shops. use their tools and after awhile just leave- I'd learned a lot doing that lol. learned how to weld SMAW and mig- no pipe fitter I am, but I can strike my shit and get a clean pool even with a shitty tomb stone... then I ended up cooking for awhile at some private joint- scratch kitchen. turned out I was pretty good at that- not that its really that hard, and def are people better than me.. but I'd turn and burn a stack of 40 tickets all at once- while everyone else threw a fit. I just made it work. rest of the work is mindless shit- laying concrete block, doing concrete in general. Places with fancy lawns- working lawn care companies. I picked fruit one year for a season.. basically anything you think of "mexicans" doing.. its pretty much what my white ass did. just with sunscreen. lol
