Most court dates are in 5+ years time. So you get 5 years to have a kid. Once you have a kid you're in. Alternatively, you just dont show up for a court date in 5 years. Which isnt a problem because once you get ITIN number or work authorization you can basically live a normal life.

Thats the whole problem. In theory the border is "closed". In reality the border is open. Unless you're an immigration wonk or practice immigration law you dont know what happens in practice.

Simple fact of the matter is that there are currently 1.6 million pending asylum claims. Every single one of them is here to stay. Forever.
