Not really, suicide is a multifaceted issue and there may be multiple factors that cause someone to commit it, but firearms are undeniably one of those factors. It's easily the single fastest way that someone can kill themselves if they have access to a firearm and it's absurd to not take that into consideration. Suicide rates are unsurprsingly higher among gun owners too.
