The way you can gauge someone's grasp on reality is how accurately they can recite the argument of people they disagree with. You see, I can cite what Republicans believe pretty accurately. Republicans believe in traditional values, the nuclear family, minimal government intervention in people's daily lives and tend to prioritize individual freedoms over policies that prioritize the collective. They desire a kind of social hegemony that they believe produces the most successful and economically active members of society and strong families. You, however, cannot recite what leftists believe. The leftist that exists in your mind is a cartoon character. You have no idea what actual leftists believe. As soon as I hear someone screeching about how leftists hate white people and love criminals I know that you're not good faith enough to engage in politics. There's plenty of things to be critical of the left about without having to make shit up in your mind.
