there are fewer than 1,000 people in government and they all live in DC. They are afraid men with guns are going to their home and lynch them like what happened to Muammar Gaddafi and that is why they go after military rifles despite the 2nd amendment being pretty clear they are protected and the fact ARs are almost never ever used in crime.

criminals are explicitly except from all gun registration laws. See Haynes v. United States. I am down with eliminating all gun laws though.
