55 year old metro Detroiter here and back in the day when I was a kid, there was still a reasonably large patch of field and woods in the neighborhood (everybody called it The Field) and each generation of boys built tree forts, shot BB guns and bows and raced around on mini-bikes back there. My buddy's sister inherited the family house that backs up on it and nowadays, it's like a fucking impenetrable Mekong Delta jungle, as zoomers don't go outside and just sit in the house on their cellphones...
