Concorde was the pinnacle of technology and engineering and still is to this day. Imagine thinking it was given up on because of the crash lmao, by that logic Boeing should have been shut down already because of all the shit they caused. Concorde was the relict of an era when fuel was dirt cheap, thats why it wasnt going to survive, but guess what? even after the prices rose people were ready to well their kidneys to fly one of these, why? Because SPEED. Imagine crossing the Atlantic in less than 3 hours. It was a thing back in the day and they took it away from us.

The only problem with Concorde was that it was ahead of its time. Hopefully we will again see supersonic, maybe even hypersonic jetliners during our lives. But air companies need to unfuck themselves first.
