You get bored with a mostly idle, routine based life. If you are actually intelligent, you have full knowledge of the fact that you can survive without doing any of this and exactly how easy it would be. The absence of genuine struggle eliminates all feelings of accomplishment and dominance which the human brain evolved to require. Simply thinking that you have lost, or were never playing, causes a psychogenic flatline or reduction in testosterone levels, while believing that some victory has been achieved has the opposite effect. And no matter how aware you are of your moods and their causes, they still affect the rest of your brain, which is why you are depressed, slowly losing your intelligence, and stuck in a pointless sedentary routine based life.

An intelligent man in the stone age was having a GREAT time, if not the greatest time, because he was the most successful out of all his peers and was sought out for his advice rather than employed as a cog.
