Ironic how cats have better brain structures for memory but can’t immediately recognize other cats if they smell slightly different, while dogs have worse memories but can compensate with more integrated thought (consciousness) and behave more flexibly. It’s like the prototypical carnivorans were granted monkeys paw wishes.
