This is true, but events such as supervolcanoes and meteor impacts are not something to strive for if we want a stable climate.

This isn't a trick, the trick is someone telling you to look at a change in temperature that occurred over 10,000 years, and say this is comparable to that same change occuring over 100 years.
Or, even more blatantly, picrel is a popular "climate debunking" chart. Its purpose is to make environmentalists sound alarmist. "These spikes happen all the time, see?"
The chart is deliberately cut off at the year 1885. The second chart has the same purpose, but the text reveals that it is measuring oxygen.

The reason people don't like such a rapid change to the temperature and atmosphere, is that it is destabilizing weather and living conditions around the world. Large areas didn't have to become unlivable, on fire, underwater, or wiped of important species, but now they are.

I would rather trust Dr Clouds, who went to Cloud College for 10 years to learn Cloud Science, than Bill1776 on Twitter, who dropped out of Highschool and now spends their time quotetweeting Neil deGrasse Tyson.
